Dalkia - Hexham General Hospital
Scanview Engineering was approached by Dalkia to undertake a project for the Northern NHS Trust, which involved creating a 3D laser scan and CAD model of the front-facing side of Hexham General Hospital. This project encompass several critical steps:
Site Preparation and Planning:
Conduct a preliminary assessment of Hexham General Hospital's front facade to determine the scope of the project.
3D Laser Scanning:
Set up 3D laser scanning equipment at the site. This typically involves placing laser scanners at various points around the hospital’s front facade to capture detailed data.
Data Processing:
Convert the raw data from the laser scans into a point cloud, a collection of data points representing the external surface of the building.
CAD Modeling:
Use the point cloud data to create a detailed CAD model of the hospital's front facade. This involves modeling the architectural features accurately to reflect the real-world structure.
